Conway, AR – Oct. 13, 2017 – The editors of Motor magazine have chosen the Hofmann® geodyna® 9000P as a winner of its prestigious Top 20 Tools Award for 2017. The awards will be presented on October 31 at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
“We want to thank the editors and the readers of Motor magazine for this respected recognition,” said Adam Brown, product manager for Snap-on Equipment. “Hofmann stands alone when it comes to equipment that is easy to use while increasing productivity and efficiency for our customers. We are particularly honored to receive this award because it is based on valuable feedback from the bays.”
Fully automated for flawless performance, the Hofmann 9000P wheel balancer is the perfect-sized balancer for any repair shop environment and its innovative non-contact 3D imaging technology makes it nearly impossible for the user to make a mistake. For use on all types of cars and light trucks, the versatile and durable Hofmann geodyna 9000P wheel balancer also features technology unique to Hofmann such as:
Automatic Acquisition – Provides automatic and non-contact detection of wheel dimensions, balancing mode, number and position of spokes, amount and position of weights, lateral and radial run-out of tire and rim, match mounting and geometric issues.
Run-Out Measurement – Scans the rim and tire profile to measure radial tire run-out, bead seat run-out on the bare rim, and radial and lateral rim run-out on both sides.
3D Imaging – Five high-resolution laser cameras scan the complete rim and tire profile to provide visual evidence of results, which increases customer awareness and satisfaction.
Run-Out Force Vectoring (RFV) – Determines the virtual loaded run-out contact patch of the wheel assembly and calculates the spring rate by measuring tread width, sidewall height, surface singularities and estimated tire pressure.
Sidewall and Tread Analysis – The wheel is scanned to within 0.1 millimeter accuracy to examine all externally visible scratches, cuts, bulges, blisters, flat spots and uneven wear-out that could potentially lead to safety issues.
